Acts 3
Hey All,
Glad to hear Holly that it went smoother than expected with your bro. And Melanie, we've been praying for you, hope that its calming down for you and your fam. I am doing good. Not a whole lot going on. Enjoying the quiet time off and not being as productive as I'd hoped, but that's okay.
As for Acts 3, Collin . . . I agree that nothing big really pops out at me, but I do get interested in how the Jews then and now share the same sentiment about Christ. Its so interesting how it is so clearly spelled out to them, with examples from the OT and prophets they should relate to and understand and their hearts are just hardened. On the flip side, it really makes me appreciate God's plan and goodness in His calling people to Himself in His timing, so although I don't understand why the Jews and others who strongly oppose Christ do so, I can take comfort in God's plan, which I know is perfect. Thats all for now . . . Hope everyone is doing well :)

I agree Lindsie - I do find the resistance towards Christ puzzling. I can understand the initial resistance from the Jewish people. The Messiah came in a manner so much different than they were expecting. I think this made it hard for them to accept who Jesus was. However, at this point in the story the evidence(combined with the apostles testimony) is overwhelmingly supporting Jesus as the Messiah. The Jewish leaders themselves are even admitting behind closed doors(Acts 4:13-16) that they are unable to come up with an argument against the apostles testimony. It's obviously easy to look back at the story, knowing what we know now. But you do wonder how some of these people could be missing it.
