Scales of "Wisdom"

The wisdom that is dropped from my indecisive, libran scales many might not agree with...but it's my blog, so every word posted is profound and prolific!!

Acts 3

Hey All,

Glad to hear Holly that it went smoother than expected with your bro. And Melanie, we've been praying for you, hope that its calming down for you and your fam. I am doing good. Not a whole lot going on. Enjoying the quiet time off and not being as productive as I'd hoped, but that's okay.

As for Acts 3, Collin . . . I agree that nothing big really pops out at me, but I do get interested in how the Jews then and now share the same sentiment about Christ. Its so interesting how it is so clearly spelled out to them, with examples from the OT and prophets they should relate to and understand and their hearts are just hardened. On the flip side, it really makes me appreciate God's plan and goodness in His calling people to Himself in His timing, so although I don't understand why the Jews and others who strongly oppose Christ do so, I can take comfort in God's plan, which I know is perfect. Thats all for now . . . Hope everyone is doing well :)

THOUGHTS ON ACTS

I've been looking through Acts chapter 3. Unlike chapters 1 & 2, I'm not necessarily finding any specific verses or sections that are jumping out at me with huge revelations. I'm more convicted by the attitude of the Apostles during this section of the book. They are incredibly bold with their faith. I don't believe that I shy away from my faith, but after reading this chapter I feel that I'm not vocal enough about it. I should be more intentional about finding opportunities to share what I believe - and I should be even more intentional about finding ways to show it. Any thoughts?

SICKO

Hi guys...I've been sick. boo. I got some 24 hour thing yesterday. Yuck! Feeling some better today. Melanie- sorry to hear about your fam. I've been praying for you all. Keep us updated. Things have been ok with my bro- much better than expected anyway. Collin and I prayed that I'd have a better attitude toward him (on our way to my parents) and nothing has exploded yet, so all is going well. We're going to go back to Collin's parent's on the 30th. It's amazing how you can learn so much about your family and yourself when you visit your hometown. Seems like we've changed so much, and yet so much has stayed the same here. Strange dichotomy. Does anyone else make New Year's Resolutions? I always do, Collin never does. Keep us in your prayers as we're travelling.

Hi from a hotel room

Hi everyone!

I'm in JAX tonight. Hope all is well with everyone. I'm excited to get home and have 3 days off as well as New Years EVE! I'll definently be praying for your family Melanie. Family issues can be tough.

In Him, Josh

FINALLY GOT IN

Hey everyone. I'm not sure what the problem was. I still couldn't just create an account. I had to go and create a whole new blog site just to get logged on as a user....but i'm on now. Holly and I are in Ohio. We spent Christmas Eve with my family(check out our photos on facebook) and headed over here on Christmas day. It's gray and very cold, but the cold feels kind of good.
So is everybody ready to blog our way into Acts 3?

Josh and Lindsie - thanks again for checking on Lucee.

Reporting from cold country

Well guys Happy holidays and i hope all is well. I spent the holidays with my family in Hinesville GA where the high was 45 so for me that's "cold country." It was a quiet time reflecting and laughing with the family, which for me serves as a rejuvenation.

Im excited about the New Year and this lil blog thing we have going :). Hopefully everyone gets some time to reflect on 07 and set some goals for the new year. You guys will continue to be in my prayers and trust me when i say i can't wait to get back to FL (where it stays above 60 degrees , haha)

God Bless
Kevin

Merry, Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Hello everyone...I hope all is well with you all and your families. And that this time is truly merry. Lindsey, Kevin and I are spending the Holiday season with our families...Kevin is in Hinesville, GA with his parents and I am still in Miami with my family. On a serious note, something unfortunate has been taking place the past two days: Yesterday, my aunt (who is a diagnosed Schizophrenic) got into an argument with my Grandfather and "attacked" him (this is his version....but he isn't that innocent historically in my book). The situation was defused by family and my Aunt calmed down. Today, my Grandfather decided that he was going to call the police on her for the altercation the previous day and the police arrested her. Now she is in jail (on Christmas Eve) and does not get arraigned until tomorrow morning. Please keep my family in your prayers. For the the mental health and stabilization of my Aunt...and also for the healing of old wounds & bitterness throughout my entire family. Thank you guys and I will see you all in the New Year. Oh and edit anything as you feel it should be (Blog Title, summary, etc.).
Melanie
